“Shemot”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Sunday, January 7th, 2018

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa for the first parsha in the Book of Exodus, by the same name in Hebrew “Shemot”. (Parsha “Shemot,” Exodus 1:1 through 6:1)

The Erev Shabbat overview gives us an introduction to the descent of the descendents of Yakov into bondage, under a pharoah who “did not know Yosef,” and into the first two-thirds of the live of Moshe/Moses as well. (there’s also a major “first proof” up front in there of why the Official Big Brother Approved Romans 13 Bible is so just-plain-wrong, too.)

The Sabbath Day teaching this week is about why this “introduction to the Exodus” is SO important, and why Mark suggests (and that’s what a “look ahead” into prophecy and patterns always is, as opposed to ‘doctrine’!) that we may be on the brink of seeing the “bookends” of this story play out. There’s a reason to be excited about the times in which we live, especially if they may be among the most pivotal in all of human history!

“From Shemot into Vayikra”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Sunday, April 2nd, 2017

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa for an two-part look at this week’s Torah portion, which completes the Book of Exodus, and continues into the first of Vayikra, aka Leviticus, through chapter 5.

This time the Erev Shabbat overview finishes the story of the Mishkan at the end of Exodus, and continues – as does the story – right into the next Book.

SSM Pekudei into Vayikra – 2017

The Sabbath Day teaching this week addresses one of THE central conflicts between both of the ‘idolatrous houses’ exiled for rebellion to YHVH, and the idea of ‘sacrifice’ that so often separates them. Both can be wrong, for different reasons. And if we do not understand why Scripture is SO specific about ‘korbon’, and the distinctions, we can – and have – “inherited lies from our fathers.”

“Shemot” – teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Sunday, January 22nd, 2017

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa for this two-part look at the first parsha in a new book, Exodus, aka “Shemot” (Ex. 1:1-6:1)

The Erev Shabbat complete story overview:

SSM Shemot 2017

The Sabbath Day teaching addresses the story of so many people in Scripture — especially in this parsha — who “feared God” more than Pharoahs, Popes, or even Presidents, and disregarded the Authorized Clergy Response Team Official IRS-Approved Version of Romans 13 — “as Twisted.”

Parsha “Shemot” teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Saturday, January 10th, 2015

Join Mark Call for two teachings on this week’s Torah portion, “Shemot” (Exodus 1-5).

During the Erev Shabbat teaching, (Friday evening) Mark introduces the new Book, and the importance of the “Names” theme; no, it’s not just the first few verses.

The longer teaching from Shabbat, however, is really one that deserves an introduction:

Yes, buckle up!

Not only is this parsha an unequivocal rejection of the “Romans 13 Lie” taught by far too many 501c(3) faith-based Caesar-chartered corporate churches of another god — it’s a powerful refutation of what the Unholy New World Church-State Partnership is doing right now to a people who have forgotten His Written Truth.
