Parsha “Vayelek”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa”

Saturday, September 15th, 2018

The message in the Torah portion for this week (Vayelek, Deuteronomy chapter 31) is an elegant, and concise, summary of what Moshe told those who were about to enter the Promised Land. It’s also an elegant, concise warning that is every bit as vital to understand today, in such as time as this, as it was thousands of years ago.

Join Mark Call for, first, the Erev Shabbat overview teaching of the entire parsha,

and then the Sabbath Day look at how certain aspects of that ancient warning are not only important, but now closer than ever.

Parsha “Ki Tetzi”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Sunday, August 26th, 2018

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship for this week’s teaching of “Ki Tetzi,” (Deuteronomy 21:10 through all of chapter 25), which AGAIN seems to literally exemplify so much of what is ABSOLUTELY WRONG with the western world today, especially because this is so politically INcorrect that it speaks volumes!

The Erev Shabbat overview starts with the concept of the “war bride,” and that’s just for starters…

For several weeks running now, the Sabbath Day teaching is arguably even more NOT ‘politically-correct’ than the week before. And this time, there needs to be an “adult content” warning as well, since the topics include marriage, sexuality, virginity, and a few things that will be even more offensive to a world which genuinely seems to HATE His Word, especially “as Written”.

From ‘transgenderism’ and ‘sodomy’ to the issue of multiple wives, there is plenty in Scripture that is so at odds with what men say He SHOULD have said if He was as smart as they think they are, it’s no wonder the world is such a mess.

The emphasis, however, MUST be on what is actually Written. What we have “heard it said” is NOT necessarily what He Wrote, for our blessing. So, be like the Bereans (Acts 17:11).

“Ki Tetzi: Fraud Covenant Marriage and Divorce, and the fact that all this is SO ‘NOT PC’ speaks volumes!”

Parsha “Re’eh”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Sunday, August 12th, 2018

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship for this week’s teaching of “Re’eh,” (Deuteronomy 11:25 through 16:17), which he initially begins by introducing as the parsha which is front and center when it comes to “Debunking Bogus ‘xtianity’ “.

And the Erev Shabbat overview of course begins there, where Moses begins by say, paraphrased a bit, “Hey, check it out!” or, “Behold!,” or just “See…”
…I set before you a blessing, and a curse…

So choose.

But, perhaps more importantly, THIS is THE parsha that really nails WHY the ‘whore church’ has been so deceived by paganism.

The Sabbath Day teaching will no doubt be one of the most “controversial” – even by Mark’s standard – in some time, because this parsha really DOES encapsulate so much of what the paganized, romanized, 501c(3) Caesar-licensed corporate ‘chuch’ of “another master” has come to preach: “another jesus, whom we have NOT preached…”

But the title lays out the premise.

“Re’eh: The Biggest Lie in the whole ‘Bible’ — well, sorta…”

Parsha “Chukat”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Sunday, June 24th, 2018

This week, Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship teaches parsha “Chukat,” (Numbers chapters 19 through 21) and THE element described as the very essence of what a “chuk” is — aka “statute”, but really, ‘just DO IT because your Creator said to.’ This one is particularly poignant, because not only are the lessons NOT “done away with”, or obsolete, but some understanding of death is central to loving life, and living it in spite of challenges and worse.

The Erev Shabbat overview begins with that most famous, and perplexing ‘chuk’ of the Red Heifer. But it turns out that the story is far more intricate, and interconnected, than we may have thought.

The Sabbath Day teaching this week comes with a warning up front, because not only is the primary subject of this parsha DEATH, but Mark more than suggests that “death” has become so ingrained in this culture and ‘the church’ that the warnings, the metaphor, the ‘picture’ that YHVH is painting here has not only been lost in twisting and idolatry, but turned on its head.

Parsha “Korach”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Sunday, June 17th, 2018

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship for this week’s teaching of “Korah,” (Numbers chapters 16 through 18) primarily about the most famous “rebellion” in Scripture (with the possible exception of Genesis chapter 3… 😉 )

The Erev Shabbat overview lays out the story, the effects, and some of the key ‘characteristics’ of rebellion to the authority of YHVH, His anointed, and His Word – once expressed ‘in person,’ now largely Written.

SSM “Korach” for 2018 Torah cycle

The Sabbath Day teaching this week takes a deeper look at the whole subject of “rebellion” – and the important related questions that help us understand “against WHO?”

And in this context Mark also takes a look at what may be one of THE most-twisted sets of verses in all of Scripture:

Romans 13, especially from the GIV Bible (Government Inspired Version)

“Korach: Don’t confuse him with Moses”

Parsha “Shelach Lekha”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Sunday, June 10th, 2018

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship for this week’s teaching of “Shelach Lekha,” (Numbers chapters 13 through 15) and the stories of the ‘spies,’ their ‘evil report’, and the subsequent whining (and First Recorded Vote in human history, to boot) that ultimately cost every adult who participated in the spectacle their life.

The Erev Shabbat overview lays out some of the reasons why that is, as Mark again looks at the entire parsha in order, and supports from Scripture why those assertions were made.

The Sabbath Day teaching this week again examines in more detail the primary themes in this parsha — particularly the Big Question, “Who do WE trust?” — and the related lessons that are SO relevant to the very same issues, but perhaps with different giants, that we face today.

Parsha “Bemidbar”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Sunday, May 20th, 2018

Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa teaches “Bemidbar,” the first parsha in the Book of that same name, aka “Numbers” (and there are a lot of THOSE, too!) — Numbers 1:1 through 4:20.

The Erev Shabbat overview describes why the English monikers of “Numbers” really isn’t so inappropriate in this case, because much of this first portion is about precisely that.

SSM “Bemidbar” for 2018

Alternative link via Hebrew Nation Radio:

There is, of course, much more, too, although the numbers themselves are the very reason why Moses is commanded to make that first census of the children of Israel.

The Sabbath Day teaching continues that exploration of the major themes of the portion, beginning with the concept of ‘counting heads,’ or conducting a census — at the command of YHVH. — and what that says about ‘why’ such a census of His people is only made at His explicit command (as King David later realized).

Again, there are elements of contrast between those who, as did Moses, “did as Yahuah commanded,” and so much of what happens today, where those who count themselves as owned by “another master” should realize that WHATEVER that master may claim, it isn’t Him!

There is a very important reason why Yahushua responded with the questions that He did to those that tried to trip Him up over a “tax question”. And the part that is often overlooked is not just “whose image and inscription” is on Caesar’s coin, but WHOSE are WE?

“Bemidbar: Whose?”

Parsha “Behar/Bechukotai”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Sunday, May 13th, 2018

Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa teaches the double-portion “Behar/Bechukotai” (Leviticus chapters 25 through 27) that wraps up the Book of Leviticus (Vayikra) and not only speaks volumes about why the “Olde” testament is not only vital to our understanding, but is perhaps THE warning in Scripture that most particularly describes precisely why things are where they are today.

The Erev Shabbat overview, which begins a bit differently this week, because “current events” are so viscerally reflected in the warnings that conclude this Book:

SSM “Behar/Bechukotai 2018”

Alternative link via Hebrew Nation Radio:

The Sabbath Day teaching explores the major themes of the portion, including what it really means to be “adversarial” to YHVH. (The Hebrew word ‘shatan’, or even HaSatan, “THE adversary” are reflected in English words like ‘satanic’. But that just begins to describe what is outlined here.)

Follow along as Mark again “pulls no punches,” and addresses not ONLY a whole lot of anti-Scriptural doctrine, but why so much of what is going on as we approach a Cursing Climax of literally “Biblical Proportions” can only be described as outright “Satanic”.

Note: Obviously, more NOT “PC” Content. If terms like “whore church,” which so explicitly describe much of ‘xtianity today’ are a bit offensive, what this portion says will be downright shocking.

Parsha “Tazria-Metzorah”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Sunday, April 22nd, 2018

Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa teaches the double-parsha “Tazria-Metzorah” (Leviticus/Vayikra chapters 12 through 15) and several very much related (but perhaps surprising!) Scriptures associated with a portion that has been described as everything from “BOOOORING!” to absolutely fascinating. Perhaps because it is SO ‘foreign’, in so many ways, to our experience. And that is part of the problem, and the fascination.

The Erev Shabbat overview begins with something that most of us have at least SOME understanding, or experience with, the ‘circumcision’. And — like so many of these Scriptures that we have “inherited lies” about — there’s a lot of the NOT ‘politically correct’ in there, too.

Note: As you might suspect, there is Adult Content in this series.

SSM Tazria/Metzorah 2018

Alternative link via Hebrew Nation Radio:

The Sabbath Day teaching continues with the major themes of ‘tzaraat’ (whatEVER that is!) and what connections, if any, there might be with “the tongue”, or the things which “come OUT of a man,” and “defile him”.

Follow along as Mark again “pulls no punches,” and points out why Scripture refers to TWO ‘whoring houses’ (northern and southern kingdoms, Samaria and Jerusalem, Oholah and Ohilibah, Israel and Judah, and, yes, he suggests, modern rabbinic ‘Pharasaic’ Judaism, and pagan Romanized churchianity) and BOTH of them were exiled ‘for CAUSE’ (idolatry/adultery)

Parsha “Shemini”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Sunday, April 15th, 2018

Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa teaches the Torah portion “Shemini” and the many related Scriptures that matter SO much “at such a time as this.”

The Erev Shabbat overview begins on the “Eighth [shemini] day” after the annointing of Aaron as High Priest, or kohen gadol, along with his two oldest sons, Nadav and Abihu, and the tragedy that follows. There are MANY lessons in that, and, perhaps surprisingly to some, the Biblical teaching of what constitutes “food” (and what does NOT) follows immediately. No coincidence…

SSM “Shemini” 2018

Alternative link via Hebrew Nation Radio:

The Sabbath Day teaching continues with the major themes of the parsha, and the very-much related haftorah segment (from II Samuel 6 through 7:17) and how all of that is SO vitally important, arguably always, but especially now – with a world on the verge of Biblical-level carnage.

Follow along as Mark draws the parallels between Big Lies past and present (“nuthin’ new under the sun”) and how — if even His “annointed” can fall prey to the Capital Crime of doing that which He “did NOT command,” then how much more so those who have been lied to most of their lives about what is “holy,” and what is profane, what is “clean,” or NOT, and even what is FOOD, or not!
