Scripture tells us that fiat money, not to be confused with silver, or in fact an honest weight of ANYTHING, is an abomination. Deuteronomy 25:16 seems to suggest pretty strongly (by saying \u201c<\/span>ALL who do such things are an abomination<\/i><\/span>\u201d, too) that we should avoid most of the world’s dishonest currencies. And that, obviously, is far from easy. Surely our Creator did not mean <\/span>THAT<\/b><\/span>. Given just how pervasive the crooked \u201cmoney\u201d that is apparently our \u201conly option\u201d for dealing with buying or selling in ‘the world’ has become \u2013 what other choice do we have?<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

But perhaps that is just a trick question. Consider how pervasive the internet has become, and how national ID cards, credit ratings, biometrics, and pervasive spying have made what was once called \u201cprivacy\u201d \u2013 economic or otherwise \u2013 pretty much a joke, just like national constitutions and national leaders who think the law applies to them. India is already in the process of instituting a national \u201cmark\u201d; think of it as a \u201cBeta test\u201d for the rest of the world in fairly short order. How long will it be now until no one will be allowed to \u201cbuy or sell\u201d without another kind of \u201cmark\u201d \u2013 even if they don’t come right out and call it \u201cthe Beast\u201d? (Although, given how \u201cin your face\u201d the pervasive hatred of the Bible has become, perhaps that would be no surprise.)<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And given that it will \u2013 just as surely as fiat money today \u2013 be the \u201conly option\u201d for buying, selling, and feeding our families \u2013 what other choice do we have?<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

But that may ultimately be one of the easier choices to face. Ebola is rapidly emerging as the \u201cbe afraid, be very afraid\u201d pandemic that has, and may very well continue, to usher in martial law all over the world, even if the propagandists in many of them will come up with more politically-correct terminology. Perhaps something like \u201cThe Police State Loves you, and wants to protect children and puppies. So we’ll shoot on sight and take your last Right.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And let’s not forget World War III. You knew that nothing as trivial as a Constitution, or Congress, or international law, was going to stop the Empire from bombing Syria, didn’t you? And if you’re confused about who \u201cISIS,\u201d or is it ISIL now? – or Al-CIA-da, or the Muslim Brotherhood is, and whether they’re this week’s allies or last week’s terrorists \u2013 don’t worry; that’s by design.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

History shows that massive currency failures, hyperinflation, depressions, and stock or bond market crashes are generally closely tied to war. After all, the prophet Jeremiah was correct, and the human heart is \u201c<\/span>desperately wicked.<\/i><\/span>.\u201d But the current world debt load is already of \u201cBiblical proportions.\u201d No doubt the aftermath will be as well. And it certainly appears that all of the above crises are approaching their climax in the form of a \u201cperfect storm.\u201d Almost like what Scripture has been warning about will once again turn out to be \u201cright on the money.\u201d Except that the money isn’t right, so the curses too appear to be of Biblical proportions.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

All of this might sound somewhat negative if we didn’t realize that the REAL God of the Universe (as opposed to those who merely play him on TV) keeps His promises. Without fail. And that even includes chastening those He loves, as a father chastens his son. Sometimes that \u201ctough love\u201d is a real whopper.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It would appear that Time Draws Short. Perhaps it is an incredible blessing that His Fall Feasts are almost upon us. There has never been a better time for repentance, and for remembering what is truly important.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We can learn to \u201ccome out of her.\u201d We can learn \u2013 even if it’s hard \u2013 to separate ourselves from dishonest money systems, and begin to deal with one another faithfully. And if that system is about to collapse, then it’s about time.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We can learn to eat what He says is food, and avoid what is not. Because it brings plagues. And since we are <\/span>\u201cfearfully and wonderfully made\u201d \u2013 <\/i><\/span>with an immune system to fight off not only the \u201cdiseases of Egypt\u201d but even those man-made bioweapons that He warned about so clearly in Deuteronomy 28:61 \u2013 perhaps we can even choose to trust in Him for our health rather than awaiting the next Miracle from the Elohim of <\/span>Pharmakeia.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We’re eventually gonna have to decide whether we trust in YHVH \u2013 <\/span><\/em>REALLY<\/b><\/span><\/em> trust in YHVH \u2013 or in the ‘gods’ of this world. Those choices will not get any easier.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n
