{"id":1495,"date":"2017-05-14T07:39:38","date_gmt":"2017-05-14T13:39:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/markniwot.com\/?p=1495"},"modified":"2017-05-28T07:29:28","modified_gmt":"2017-05-28T13:29:28","slug":"emor-teaching-from-shabbat-shalom-mesa-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/markniwot.com\/?p=1495","title":{"rendered":"\u201cEmor\u201d\u2013 teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa takes an in-depth look at Torah portion, Emor, Leviticus chapters 21 through 24.<\/p>\n<p>AND yet AGAIN, we find another segment in Scripture that we have probably been TOLD is boring, obsolete, irrelevant, and \u2013 especially \u2013 \u201cdone away with,\u201d this time because the \u2018priests\u2019 or cohenim are held to a \u201chigher standard\u201d that doesn\u2019t sound Politically-Correct, and, besides, we don\u2019t have real priests any more anyway.<\/p>\n<p>But we do seem to have plenty who \u201cplay one on TV,\u201d and prove that maybe there\u2019s another master being served besides.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.waytozion.org\/teachings\/mark_call\/2017\/SSM-5-12-17-Emor-.mp3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SSM Emor 2017<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Sabbath Day teaching this week continues the theme that these last few portions make so clear.
