The Sabbath Day teaching this week continues from there into a variety of related Scriptures, from the haftorah and readings from the prophets (a couple of Mark’s faves, he admits…) into Matthew 5, and the oh-so-common ‘twisting’ of the “Sermon on the Mount”. There’s a reason why the prophet Isaiah said that there will come a time (and it certainly applies NOW!) where “children are their oppressors,” and it gets worse from there.<\/p>\n
