SSM Ekev 2020<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Sabbath Day \u2018deeper look\u2019 will upset some. It should.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If we even begin to understand the depth of the instruction in this parsha, we can see how abhorrent the idolatry that once got the \u2018sons of Israel\u2019 \u2013 BOTH kingdoms, northern and southern, \u201ckicked out\u201d of the land is to Him. And STILL IS!<\/p>\n\n\n\n First Moses, then many other prophets warned of the \u2018curses\u2019 which come as a consequence of rebellion to Yahuah. Today, what can only be called accurately the \u2018whore church\u2019 tells people to accept idolatry that Yah Himself calls \u201cabomination.\u201d They espouse some of the biggest lies in human history, including that He Himself did away with His own Word, and \u2018nailed it to the cross.\u2019 Because He somehow isn\u2019t the same, \u201cyesterday, today, and tomorrow,\u201d that He can\u2019t be trusted to keep His promises, and that when He said \u201cnot one yod or tiddle\u201d of His instruction (\u2018torah\u2019) will pass as long as heaven and earth still exist \u2013 obviously He was lying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For those that have trouble explaining to friends and family just exactly what we should \u201ccome out of,\u201d and why, THIS is the parsha to point them to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He HATES idolatry. And the Whore Church in it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s simply not enough to \u2018disdain\u2019 pagan Ishtar eggs and trees celebrating the \u2018sun god\u2019 and his day. This Torah portion lays it on the line, whether we like it or not. And the consequences are increasingly clear, literally each and every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We are to DETEST the pagan things that infest not just explicit \u2018satan worship, but the whore church as well. The end of Deuteronomy chapter 7 is one of the most painfully blunt commandments in the Book. \u201cDon\u2019t even covet the gold or silver that is on,\u201d those abominations. \u201cDon\u2019t EVEN bring the accursed thing into your HOUSE,\u201d because you will be accursed just like it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s a TRAP, a SNARE. And it\u2019s a test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We are in exile because our father\u2019s fathers\u2019 fathers\u2019\u2026failed it. And the whore church \u2013 BOTH house of it! \u2013 still are!<\/p>\n\n\n\n This parsha is, again, all about just how we can, and must, be \u201ctzaddikim,\u201d people who \u2018study to show ourselves approved, and truly \u201cshema\u201d, hear and obey, ALL of his statutes, judgments, and commandments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Be forewarned. This one may not be easy to listen to.
