{"id":2377,"date":"2022-01-23T07:38:04","date_gmt":"2022-01-23T14:38:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/markniwot.com\/?p=2377"},"modified":"2022-01-23T17:55:28","modified_gmt":"2022-01-24T00:55:28","slug":"parsha-yitro-teaching-from-shabbat-shalom-mesa-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/markniwot.com\/?p=2377","title":{"rendered":"Parsha \u201cYitro\u201d teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Torah portion this week is perhaps one of the most &#8216;dramatic&#8217; and central in all of the Torah, &#8216;Yitro,&#8217; (Exodus chapters 18 through 20), named because it first mentions Yitro (aka &#8216;Jethro&#8217;, Moses&#8217; father-in-law), but which also includes the first &#8216;mass download&#8217; of the Ten &#8220;<em>Debarim<\/em>&#8221; &#8212; &#8216;words&#8217;, or &#8216;sayings&#8217;, from the Hebrew, but often called the Ten Commandments in English.
