Not to mention &#8216;fateful,&#8217; and certainly &#8216;prophetic.&#8217;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Erev Shabbat, Mark summarizes the storyline, and some of the most &#8216;revealing&#8217; &#8211; albeit equally OVERLOOKED &#8211; elements of it, which all help explain just WHY this one is sometimes handled with the sunday skool equivalent of &#8216;kid gloves&#8217;. Even though there is at least one &#8220;flashing Neon Sign&#8221; in there\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"https:\/\/s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com\/hebrewnation\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/19194004\/SSM-2-18-21-Ki-Tisa-teaching-podcast-xx.mp3\"><\/audio><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>During the Sabbath day study, Mark takes a more sober, direct, even blunt look at that part of the &#8220;Why?&#8221; behind the &#8216;golden calf&#8217; &#8212; and also the &#8216;why?&#8217; behind the Lies that it obscures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Given the &#8216;times and the seasons,&#8217; isn&#8217;t it about time to drop the pretense that people doing things that the story of the &#8216;golden calf&#8217; &#8211; and so many OTHER admonitions in Scripture AND history &#8211; prove will get them cursed, enslaved, destroyed, and outright killed are, at best, &#8216;fools&#8217;? But there&#8217;s far more to it now than that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Ki Tisa: Is it &#8216;Fool&#8217;? Downright Stoopid?
