And it is, indeed, a higher standard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Erev Shabbat reading and outline of the parsha includes the specifics, from what they are to seek for wives to what NOT to do. And this portion includes a well-known description of HIS &#8216;appointed times&#8217; (i.e., the REAL Holy Days) &#8211; and again makes clear that they are &#8216;forever&#8217;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"https:\/\/s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com\/hebrewnation\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/14125107\/SSM-5-13-22-Emor-teaching-podcast-xx.mp3\"><\/audio><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>During the Sabbath day teaching this week, Mark asks a different question from the usual. Since His genuine priests are to be &#8216;set apart&#8217; to Him, what does that say about a world where literally every aspect of His Word on that score is held in derision by most OF the world?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Doesn&#8217;t it seem ever more clear that there really IS a &#8216;priesthood&#8217; of death that is not just set apart from any and everything associated with the Creator of the Universe, but that handles the Adversary&#8217;s very different &#8212; but obvious now! &#8212; sacraments?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And we had better be <strong><em>set apart<\/em><\/strong> from that.
