{"id":2513,"date":"2022-12-11T07:38:23","date_gmt":"2022-12-11T14:38:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/markniwot.com\/?p=2513"},"modified":"2022-12-11T07:38:23","modified_gmt":"2022-12-11T14:38:23","slug":"parsha-vayishlach-teaching-from-shabbat-shalom-mesa-6","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/markniwot.com\/?p=2513","title":{"rendered":"Parsha \u201cVayishlach\u201d teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>This week&#8217;s Torah portion is parsha Vayishlach, from Genesis 32:3 through chapter 36.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The story begins with Yakov, his wives, and his sons and daughter returning to the land of &#8220;his country and his kin,&#8221; after a long absence and obviously still-unresolved conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And this one definitely has a lot to say about dealing with conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First, the parsha itself, from the Erev Shabbat session:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"https:\/\/hebrewnationonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/SSM-12-9-22-Vayishlach-teaching-podcast-x.mp3\"><\/audio><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Sabbath Day teaching begins with some of the contrasts, and the parallels. Yakov has direction, and he has a promise.
