{"id":2556,"date":"2023-04-16T07:17:49","date_gmt":"2023-04-16T13:17:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/markniwot.com\/?p=2556"},"modified":"2023-04-16T07:17:49","modified_gmt":"2023-04-16T13:17:49","slug":"parsha-shmini-teaching-from-shabbat-shalom-mesa-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/markniwot.com\/?p=2556","title":{"rendered":"Parsha \u201cShmini\u201d teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa Fellowship for a two-part look at parsha &#8220;Shmini&#8221; (Leviticus\/Vayikra chapters 9 through 11) &#8212; and perhaps some insight as well into why what he refers to, especially now, as the &#8216;whore church&#8217; would prefer to ignore it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This one includes the death of the sons of Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, for offering &#8220;strange fire&#8221; before Yahuah, which &#8220;He had not commanded.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But there&#8217;s much more to it than that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Erev Shabbat reading of the parsha is first:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"https:\/\/hebrewnationonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/SSM-4-14-23-Shmini-teaching-podcast-x.mp3\"><\/audio><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This midrash, too, begins with a question: What were they THINKING? But the answer may sound even a bit TOO familiar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So many people have been taught the Big Lie that &#8216;the Law has been done away with.&#8217;\u00a0 But the fact that most don&#8217;t even understand the meaning of the word translated as &#8220;holy&#8221;  is only one obvious result.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It occurred to me this week why the Whore Church particularly hates THIS parsha:  because the lesson of Nadab and Abihu hits FAR too close to home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And one of the biggest indicators is another &#8216;atbash,&#8217; which Mark suggests is a bit similar to what we might now see as a Biblical Hebrew equivalent of an HTML tag, like a text equivalent of a flashing red sign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And that setup, the warning, the event, and everything that follows seem to emphasize why we are to understand the &#8220;difference\u2026between the unclean and the clean,&#8221; and the &#8220;holy&#8221; as opposed to the profane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Again, the emphasis is that the &#8220;sharp, two-edged sword&#8221; of His Word is used to divide things.
