{"id":2648,"date":"2023-12-03T07:16:06","date_gmt":"2023-12-03T14:16:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/markniwot.com\/?p=2648"},"modified":"2023-12-09T18:39:52","modified_gmt":"2023-12-10T01:39:52","slug":"parsha-vayishlach-teaching-from-shabbat-shalom-mesa-7","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/markniwot.com\/?p=2648","title":{"rendered":"Parsha \u201cVayishlach&#8221; teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Parsha &#8216;Vayishlach&#8217; (Genesis 32:4 thru chapter 36) begins with an encounter that been delayed at this point for two decades, when Yakov returns home, and has to deal with his brother Esau. Does he still want to kill him?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And who was it that he was wrestling with?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Erev Shabbat reading begins there:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"https:\/\/hebrewnationonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/SSM-12-1-23-Vayishlach-teaching-podcast-xx.mp3\"><\/audio><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>And the Sabbath day midrash picks up there, and with the theme of a continuing struggle.
