{"id":2757,"date":"2024-09-29T07:15:19","date_gmt":"2024-09-29T13:15:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/markniwot.com\/?p=2757"},"modified":"2024-09-29T07:15:19","modified_gmt":"2024-09-29T13:15:19","slug":"parsha-nitzavim-teaching-from-shabbat-shalom-mesa-6","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/markniwot.com\/?p=2757","title":{"rendered":"Parsha \u201cNitzavim\u201d teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Parsha &#8220;Nitzavim,&#8221; (Devarim or Deuteronomy 29:10 through 30:20) is, according to Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship, not only perhaps THE most succinct, two-word summary of the Torah, but the parsha that is also most central to understanding what is arguably THE Biggest Lie since at least Genesis chapter 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And the Erev Shabbat reading lays the groundwork for that claim:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"https:\/\/hebrewnationonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/SSM-9-27-24-Nitzavim-teaching-podcast-xxxx.mp3\"><\/audio><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>But that is again just the beginning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WARNING: This is yet another reading in the continuing series of what you will certainly NOT hear in sun-god-day school. But this time the &#8220;WHY&#8221; is the heart of the problem!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Sabbath day midrash is about that Big Lie, and the fact that the refutation is right there in Deuteronomy chapter 30:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The Law has been done away with\u2026nailed to the cross\u2026it&#8217;s OLD Testament\u2026and, besides, NOBODY but <em>Jesus <\/em>could POSSIBLY keep &#8216;the Law.&#8217; It&#8217;s TOO HARD for you!&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When, in fact, He says it is NOT too hard for you. Practically sarcastically, even, as if He knew &#8211; because He did! &#8211; how it would happen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And it&#8217;s time to tie in some other aspects of that Big Lie as well, including a bit of the &#8220;most twisted Book in Scripture&#8221; &#8211; Galatians &#8211; and how that same lie manifests as Kefa\/Peter warned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you see it &#8211; it is impossible to UN-see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But as things come to a head &#8211; it is more important than ever that we be able to answer, &#8220;in season and out,&#8221; from His Word, exactly WHY we need to &#8220;come out of&#8221; EVERYTHING that is based on the Lie that got us exiled in the first place.
