The Sabbath Day teaching this week is quite a bit different than usual, too, in that Mark doesn’t tend to spend too much time on holidays that aren’t “moedim of YHVH.” But – especially NOW – perhaps there’s a LOT more to the Book of Esther and Purim than usual that we simply can’t afford to ignore. How much of Amalek is now Amerika? And can we afford to keep silent, or is it perhaps our blessing to be put here “for such a time as this?”
