Parsha “Tzav” teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Tzav (Lev. chapters 6through 8) is the second parsha in the Book of Leviticus, and again is often ignored completely, or ‘spiritualized’ into triviality.

The Erev Shabbat reading details the specifics of what Moses ‘commanded’ Aaron and his sons, and the process by which they were anointed:

The related haftorah parsha this week, from Jeremiah chapter 7, not only provides some additional insight into the ‘bigger picture’ of these detailed descriptions, but just might be the most mind-blowingly accurate description of Amerika in March 2022 you will find – prophetic or otherwise!

And – there’s an element in the descriptions of offerings that Mark suggests should be of particular note NOW, in ‘such a time as this’.
