“Korach”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Sunday, June 25th, 2017

Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa takes a two-part look at parsha “Korach” (Numbers chapters 16 through 18)…and in particular, the issue of “rebellion”.

During the Erev Shabbat overview teaching, the story describes one of the most famous rebellions in history, that of Korach, and also Dathan and Abiram, and their 250 followers. And their ends, too. But there’s more, albeit still part of the same lesson.

“Korach” – teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Sunday, July 10th, 2016

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa for a study of the parsha “Korach” (Numbers chapter 16 through 18).

  • Note: These are available every Shabbat during the on-line services at 6:30 PM Mountain Time, and the Sabbath Day teaching broadcast live via links in both Paltalk and Shoutcheap.  The Paltalk room is called “Walking Torah with Shabbat Shalom Mesa”.

The Erev Shabbat overview teaching includes the story of another one of the most difficult incidents in the Torah, the story of the rebellion of Korach (Korah).

The Sabbath Day teaching explores in more detail the nature of “rebellion” itself – as opposed to “coming out of her”. How was Korach able to convince people who literally SAW the miracles of YHVH Himself to rebel against His chosen leader? And where does that leave us?
