Parsha “Vayashev” teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Join Mark Call for two teachings on this week’s Torah portion, “Vayashev.” (Genesis chapters 37 through 40).

During the Erev Shabbat teaching, (Friday evening) Mark covers the entire parsha — the first part of the story of Joseph, who might even be called the “Transition Patriarch.”

The longer teaching from Shabbat again focuses on several of the broader messages pervading the portion. One might be the ‘unifying underlying theme’ of the story of the patriarchs of Genesis, but the even bigger questions probably have to do with “His Plan” — and what our own choices have to do with it.
