“Pesach 1”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Sunday, April 1st, 2018

Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa teaches the Torah and related portions having to do with this season, and the first of the Spring Feasts.

The Erev Shabbat overview teaching begins with the for each house to select a lamb — of either sheep OR goats — for the instruction that follows. And it is THAT instruction which has been so neglected, and explains much of why “we are where we are”.

The central message of ‘the telling,’ is that we are to TELL, and TEACH, our children. Many of us have to learn it now, because our fathers’-fathers’-fathers’ have failed for so long to do so!

The Sabbath Day teaching is a deeper look at what Mark contends are two houses, each with a part of the Larger Truth, and yet each with a “selective blindness”. What follows will undoubtedly upset a lot of people who have never heard the actual story, “as Written,” of what, when, and how, these ‘prophetic pictures’ actually unfolded.

Follow along as Mark takes an detailed look at ‘the four Gospels’, and compares what they say to what we have been TOLD they should have said. And, yes, there are clearly errors, and contradictions, even in the King James. And when we “study to show ourselves approved,” we can in fact TELL the Story, as Written.

Thus begin the Spring Feasts.

“Shmini” – and the Passover week – teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Sunday, April 16th, 2017

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa for an two-part look at this week’s Torah portion, associated with both “Shmini,” (Lev. 9-11) and the issues surrounding the week of Pesach/Passover.

This time the Erev Shabbat overview includes the story of Aaron’s sons Nadav and Abihu, their offering of “strange fire,” and subsequent deaths, as well as the necessity to discern the difference between the clean and the unclean.

SSM Shmini 2017

The Sabbath Day teaching this week starts with the importance of that discernment — between the “holy” and downright abominably “profane” — and explores the reason why “Easter” can NOT be pleasing to Him, whether we feel good about pagan traditions or not.  Turns it, it really IS a matter of “life and death.”

“Bo” – teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Sunday, February 5th, 2017

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa for another two-part look at this week’s Torah portion, which completes the story of the final three plagues in Mitzraim (Egypt) and, perhaps even more importantly, what we are commanded to know, teach, and DO — forever.

The Erev Shabbat teaching makes the point, again, that Scripture emphasizes repeatedly, and why:

During the Sabbath Day teaching, it’s time for another look at the ‘times and seasons,’ and what the perhaps-soon-coming plagues might look like, given what we’ve seen.
