World War I is said to have begun with the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand in 1914. The truth is that war more resembles a tinderbox soaked with gasoline, where matches are left laying around. One thing or another, or perhaps several, will eventually ignite the blaze, and leave historians in the position of arson investigators. Where was the first spark? The same seems to be true today.
I contend that WW III may have already begun as well, probably with the attack on the Russian ruble some weeks ago. But it would seem today that unless a mushroom cloud is visible, people have simply become inured to continuing “wars and rumors of wars.” And regional fires abound anyway, from Israel, Syria, and Iran to Ukraine, and now lately Yemen.
When we examine the situation in “the world” from a Scriptural viewpoint, it seems clear that War, in the broadest sense, is already on. And without question, it is a war by most of the world, its ‘leaders’, its institutions, and even its licensed “churches” on the God of the Bible, YHVH. He has not been allowed in the “Publik Skool Indoctrinashun Centurs” for decades, and the fruits of that seed are evident. The same is true in politics pretty much worldwide, the US military, and Hollywood propaganda. While the world’s “money” system has been rightly described as “abomination” for at least four decades now.
This current World War is a war on more fronts than just bullets and bombs, too. Certainly it is a War on Truth, since that is the essence of denying Yahuah. The recent power grab by the US FCC (now more and more like George Orwell’s Ministry of Truth) to regulate the formerly free World-Wide Web is telling.
There is a War on Cash in progress, too. French peons are discovering that they are no longer allowed by their feudal masters to buy or sell using more than 1000 Euros. And in the land of the Almighty Federal Reserve, banks have quotas for filing “Suspicious Activity Reports” whenever ‘suspects’ (which now means anyone with a bank account) try to access even moderate amounts of “cash” that no longer buys nearly as much as it once did. The screws are being tightened.
Have you considered the War on Food? Try to find corn, or vegetable oil, that meets the criterion of being “as Elohim made it”, from seed He gave us. But don’t even ask about the health impacts of “FrankenFood,” or the biotoxins that kill the kinds of plants He made for our blessing. Or why it is that mega-factory farms escape regulatory “oversight,” while small family operations – particularly if they are “free-range,” organic, non-GMO, or sell “raw milk” — are fined, taxed, and hounded out of business.
Meanwhile, the War on Marriage has long gone nuclear, calling evil, ‘good, and good, ‘evil’. The Almighty State is a jealous god, indeed, and seems to relish destroying every aspect of Yah’s patriarchal family, from licensing what He calls ‘abomination’ there, to subsidizing murder. The essence of that Big Lie is changing the meaning of words.
Which brings me to the prophetic warnings that are so consistently repeated in Scripture. Over and over again, both the northern and southern kingdoms were warned to turn from idolatry, evil, and injustice, and return (t’shuva in the Hebrew) to Him. And the consequences were consistently repeated as well: war, subjugation, exile.
Indeed, those with “eyes to see” can find the same pattern repeating again today. But, arguably the difference now is one of degree.
Nevertheless, one can practically open up Books like Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel almost anywhere and see the pattern laid out.
In chapter 6, Jeremiah warns of impending calamity, “because they have not heeded My words, nor My torah, but rejected it.” In the next chapter, he tells them, “you trust in lying words, that cannot profit,” (v 8) without question an indictment that still rings true today.
Similarly, the summary of what His people SHOULD do is equally succinct, and equally consistent. “Obey My voice…and you shall be My people…and walk in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it might be well with you.” (v 23)
But it’s the next chapter, which describes – as so many other warnings in Scripture have as well – the judgment of His people for their rebellion, that should raise the hair on the back of the neck of all those today who see a culture which idolizes and even seems to worship death:
“‘Then death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of those who remain of this evil family, who remain in all the places I have driven them’, says YHVH of hosts.” Yes, the opposite of ‘choose life!’ But somehow sadly consistent.
It has been said that one of the Biggest Lies of our time is, “I’m from the government and I’m here to help you.” The Ministry of Truth would no doubt add, “obey my voice, too, that it might be well with you.”
The War on Truth is in full force. And both history and Scripture show that those who trust in lying words will be gravely disappointed.
