Parsha “Balak” teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Join Mark Call for a two-part look at parsha “Balak,” (Numbers chapters 22:2-25:9) and a story that ranges from the whimsical (you probably know what that means) to parallels and warnings that must not be ignored. But they will be.

First, the Erev Shabbat overview:

The Sabbath Day teaching is all about ‘parallels’. And it’s not just that we have ‘modern Balaams’ (they’re often called “televangelists”) and wannabe kings equally bent on cursing people they see as deplorables. But it’s HOW they go about getting people once SO blessed to curse THEMSELVES that ought to REALLY hit home today!

“Balak: They cursed themselves, too”

The combined two-part teaching is here, via Hebrew Nation Radio.
