Yom Teruah teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Since this week, by most readings of the Hebrew calendar anyway, begins the time of the Fall Feasts, starting with Yom Teruah, the regular Torah portion that would complete the cycle, and the Book of Deuteronomy, is briefly delayed.

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa Fellowship for a look at some special readings for the first of the Moedim, beginning with a review of Genesis 21 and 22, concerning the birth and ‘binding’ of Yitzak (Isaac), during the Erev Yom Teruah and Erev Shabbat teaching:

The Sabbath day teaching begins with a look at ‘blowing the shofar.’ Since His moedim are so often pictures of things to come, and even things in-progress, it’s important we pay attention to the times, the seasons, and the lessons, and WATCH!

Parsha “Nitzavim – Vayelech”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Double parsha “Nitzavim-Vayeylech” (Deuteronomy 25:10 through chapter 31) is – in any number of ways — one of the most “fundamental” in all of Scripture. It addresses the esence of what has become the “Big Lie” of the Whore Church. If you’re looking for a simple, yet forceful, statement of what separates a “Torah-obedient mindset” from most of what we learned in ‘sun-god-day school,’ it’s here. And it contains one of the the central teachings of the Torah in what might be called the most basic ‘two word’ summary of what Yahuah gave us that makes us human, and sets apart the nature of ‘free will.’

No wonder you don’t hear it quoted very often, much less in context.

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa Fellowship, first for a look at the whole thing, from what that Big Lie is, to what it means, during the Erev Shabbat overview:

…and then for the Sabbath day teaching. Mark suggests that the parallels between that “this day,” and our own “THIS day,” are undeniable. We, too, stand on the brink, ready for the promises outlined, and SUBJECT TO THE VERY SAME CONDITIONS.

But it’s the promises we need to count on, ‘ha yom!”

Parsha “Ki Tavo”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Parsha “Ki Tavo” (Deuteronomy 26:1-29:8) not only concludes what might be called Moses’ “Final Address” to the people of Israel, prior to his death and their crossing into the land, but the most famous set of “blessings and cursings” in all of Scripture.

Some will claim that this is all “Olde Testament,” and thus somehow “done away with,” and besides we have been kicked out of the land to boot. But, still, isn’t it increasingly obvous that’the whold world’ is literally becoming a hell on earth and these curses truly bring that point home?

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa Fellowship first for a look at the whole parsha, during the Erev Shabbat overview:

…and then for the Sabbath teaching, which again picks up with the question we have been so carefully taught to ASK, but not “search out the Truth for ourselves” to find the increasingly clear answer:

“What POSSIBLE relevance does THIS have today?” After all, the Deep State, tyrannical state governors, Congress, and the whole waste-stream media all utterly DESPISE the God of the Bible, all He Wrote, and certainly all that He stands for.

And besides, the sun-god-day church has taught us it’s all done awwy with anyway, ‘nailed to the cross.’

Oh – and don’t forget – we were kicked out of the land, for cause, anyway.

So that’s where we start.

Parsha “Ki Tetzi”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Parsha “Ki Tetzi” (Deuteronomy 21:10-25″9) is said to contain more ‘mitzvot’, or commandments, than any other parsha in the Torah. It is also one of the very most “politically incorrect.”

This portion, not surprisingly, also includes some of the examples most cited by atheists, satanists, and wannabe tyrants of all stripes as to why they hate the Bible almost as much as they do the Author Who Wrote it.

And the fact that this is so obviously the case is about as clear an explanation of why ‘the whold world’ is literally becoming a hell on earth as you will find.

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa Fellowship first for a look at the whole “twisted by the unlearned and untaught” thing, during the Erev Shabbat overview:

…and then for the “no holds barred” Sabbath teaching, which picks up where the Whore Church tries to leave it: “done away with,” irrelevant, and too embarrasing to talk about, except perhaps derisively.

While there are number of what might be, to those of us who now know we “inherited lies from our fathers,” disconnected and unrelated bits of ‘legalism,’ there are in fact SEVERAL consistent themes.

From marriage, vows, and “divorce” (what IS, and what is NOT!) to economics and why the world stands on the brink of well-deserved collapse, this one hits as close to the heart of ‘evil’ as we can handle.

Parsha “Shoftim”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Parsha “Shoftim” (Deuteronomy 16:18 – 21:9) is in large part about “justice, justice you SHALL pursue.” The name of the portion means “judges,” and that is certainly an important part of the instruction, but it is just the beginning.
Somehow, lessons for and about kings (also ignored more often than not) are fundamental, as are things that have to do with war. But it’s things that defile the land, and those in it, from idolatry to innocent blood, that are literally at the ‘heart of the matter.’ Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa Fellowship takes a two-part look at a lesson that is at least up front most striking for how far we have come away FROM anything related to ‘justice,’ certainly in Yahuah’s eyes.

The Erev Shabbat overview:

The Sabbath Day ‘deeper look’ will — AGAIN — upset some. But so does the whole of Torah. Not just because of the volumes of innocent blood, rampant idolatry (even is those who do it don’t know to call it such) and total rejection of what Scripture calls “justice”, but because there is so much here that raises questions neither of the two whoring houses wants to answer.

Up front, Mark cautions about the danger of “over-spiritualization”. There’s certainly a ‘higher bar,’ or burden of proof to take instruction that has an obvious, physical, societal, practical application and say, ‘but wait – there’s more!’. And there is.

We are still in exile because there are still lessons to learn.

Parsha “Re’eh”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa Fellowship takes a two-part look at what at the thrid in the set of the most foundational parashot in the whole of Torah, “Re’eh” (Deuteronomy 11:26-16:17). Yes, it’s still a hard-hitting, undeniable condemnation of the Whore Church and its idolatry, not to mention what has become of AmeriKa, and thus why and what we are to “come out” of those ‘lies we have inherited from our fathers.”

The Erev Shabbat overview:

The Sabbath Day ‘deeper look’ will — AGAIN — upset some. It should. Perhaps even more than the last parsha, because this one is just so “in your face” undeniable. And the consequences are literally, life and death.

If we even begin to understand the depth of the instruction in this parsha, we can see how abhorrent the idolatry that once got the ‘sons of Israel’ – BOTH kingdoms, northern and southern, “kicked out” of the land is to Him. And STILL IS!

First Moses, then many other prophets warned of the ‘curses’ which come as a consequence of rebellion to Yahuah. Today, what can only be called accurately the ‘whore church’ tells people to accept idolatry that Yah Himself calls “abomination.” They espouse some of the biggest lies in human history, including that He Himself did away with His own Word, and ‘nailed it to the cross.’ Because He somehow isn’t the same, “yesterday, today, and tomorrow,” that He can’t be trusted to keep His promises, and that when He said “not one yod or tiddle” of His instruction (‘torah’) will pass as long as heaven and earth still exist – obviously He was lying.

For those that have trouble explaining to friends and family just exactly what we should “come out of,” and why, this parsha continues to build on the foundation already established.

Given how unequivocal it is, and how clear it is that if “another jesus, whom we have NOT preached,” had in fact, “done away with the Law,” then he would have been a liar and the truth not in him. Deuteronomy 13, in this parsha, makes it clear why such a false prophet WOULD be deserving of death, and why Yahushua made it so clear that He would NOT change so much as “one yod or tiddle” of His Instruction so long as heaven and earth still exist.

No wonder the whore church would prefer we not read this.

He HATES idolatry. And the world literally wallows in it today.

Yet what begins this portion is one of the most fundamental ideas in Scripture, and the nature of what it means that He made us human: We have a CHOICE.

Just about every lie that we have “inherited from our fathers” in the whore church, and pagan world, is in this parsha, one way or another, from what is NOT food, to what ARE His set-apart times.

Be forewarned. This one, too, will be troubling to those who “have not a love of the Truth.” But that lesson has again, never been more important.

Parsha “Ekev”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa Fellowship for a two-part look at what becomes the second in the set of the most foundational parashot in the whole of Torah, “Ekev” (Deuteronomy 7:12 – 11:25). And it may also be one of the best demonstrations of just why and what we are to “come out of” the ‘lies we have inherited from our fathers.”

The Erev Shabbat overview:

SSM Ekev 2020

The Sabbath Day ‘deeper look’ will upset some. It should.

For those that have trouble explaining to friends and family just exactly what we should “come out of,” and why, THIS is the parsha to point them to.

He HATES idolatry. And the Whore Church in it!

It’s simply not enough to ‘disdain’ pagan Ishtar eggs and trees celebrating the ‘sun god’ and his day. This Torah portion lays it on the line, whether we like it or not. And the consequences are increasingly clear, literally each and every day.

We are to DETEST the pagan things that infest not just explicit ‘satan worship, but the whore church as well. The end of Deuteronomy chapter 7 is one of the most painfully blunt commandments in the Book. “Don’t even covet the gold or silver that is on,” those abominations. “Don’t EVEN bring the accursed thing into your HOUSE,” because you will be accursed just like it!

It’s a TRAP, a SNARE. And it’s a test.

We are in exile because our father’s fathers’ fathers’…failed it. And the whore church – BOTH house of it! – still are!

This parsha is, again, all about just how we can, and must, be “tzaddikim,” people who ‘study to show ourselves approved, and truly “shema”, hear and obey, ALL of his statutes, judgments, and commandments.

Be forewarned. This one may not be easy to listen to. Ancient Israel didn’t either.

And the lesson has never been more important.

Mark Call – Parsha “Vaetchanon”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa Fellowship for a two-part look at one of the most foundational parashot in the whole of Torah, “Vaetchanon” (Deuteronomy 3:23 – 7:11), which includes not only one of the “most violated” commandments in the Book, but a second look at the “Ten Debarim” (Words, or Commandments) and the Most Important Commandment in the Bible, aka ‘the Shema’ (Deuteronomy chapter 6, and also noted in Mark chapter 12.)

The Erev Shabbat overview.

“When the foundations are destroyed, what CAN the ‘righteous’ do?” (Psalm 11) And just who are they?

This parsha is really all about just how we can, and must, be “tzaddikim,” people who ‘study to show ourselves approved, and truly “shema”, hear and obey, ALL of his statutes, judgments, and commandments.

There is a reason that both Moshe, and later the promised Prophet “like unto” Moses made reference to the same two witnesses, heaven and earth, to make the same point. That not “one yod or tiddle,” the tiniest part, of His Instruction will pass away so long as they still exist. Which explains why the command not to add or subtract from His Word is also so vital (and the last commandment in the whole Bible, to boot!)

We are given lots and LOTS of warnings about not just “graven images,” but all kinds of idolatry, and rebellion to Him. And all of them, and more, are now rampant.

Thankfully, one of THE very best promises in all the Bible, about what we WILL do, WHEN we finally “Return to Him,” is also a big part of this lesson.

Parsha “Debarim”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Parsha Debarim (Deb/Deut. 1:1 through 3:22) is of course the first parsha in the fifth and final Book in the Torah, and consists of ‘the Words’ that Moshe spoke unto “kol Israel,” and thus all of us, in what amoounts not only to his “Farewell Address,” but a summary of the ‘teaching and instruction’ of thw whole. This is the introduction to that foundational teaching.

The Erev Shabbat overview.

Moshe begins with a review of some of the history, starting with his delegation of authority to “captains of thousands, hundreds, fifties…” and then the to story of the ‘spies’ and why almost all those where were there then, aren’t now.

What is perhaps most interesting about this retelling are the DIFFERENCES in emphasis that he chooses, almost 40 years later.

Double-Parsha “Matot-Masei”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

This week the Book of Numbers concludes with a double-portion, Matot and Masei (Numbers 30:2 through the end of the Book.)

The first parsha begins with a clear, unequivocal description of the statutes concerning vows. They are, in fact, different for men than for women. And the fact that THAT is among the several things that are now so “NOT PC” demonstrate beyond any doubt why any land where a man’s word is not only no longer his “bond” is lawless.

The rest of the portions help show why that is so.

The Erev Shabbat introduction:

SSM Matot-Masei 2020

The phrase, “a man’s word is his bond,” can be traced directly to this part of Scripture. The trouble is, too many AmeriKans under the age of 50 have never heard it, and it is no longer respected in publik skools, newsrooms, statehouses, governor’s mansions, or just about any place where post-Constitutional tyrants put their hand on a Bible and lie.

Mark Call in this teaching makes clear why honoring of our word is fundamental to a free society, and why understanding the vital importance of thesse commandments are a “necessary but NOT sufficient condition,” not only for marriage, but for Mankind.

What we are seeing play out in real time, as this nation devolves into abject fear and irrational self-destruction, at the hands of oath-breakers at all levels, is what he describes as “the Great Filter.” It really is a “narrow path,” and it’s increasingly obvious why “FEW there be that find it!”
