Parsha “Vayashev”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa”

Sunday, December 2nd, 2018

Join Mark Call for a look at parsha, “Vayashev,” (“and he [Yakov] dwelt,” Genesis through chapters 37 through 40), which now moves on primarily to the story of Yakov’s sons, and especially Yosef (Joseph).

The Erev Shabbat review contains not only the story of Joseph’s sale into slavery by his brothers, and the subsequent false claims by Potiphar’s wife which result in his time in prison, but an “insertion” into the story (AKA, an “atbash,” which is a story in itself) of Judah, and Tamar, and just how important that insertion turns out to be, as well as the importance of dreams, as opposed to direct words from YHVH, to Joseph.

The Sabbath Day teaching is again about only some of the major themes in the parsha, from a few of the apparently ALMOST ‘trivial,’ throw-away elements of the parsha, to an almost enigmatic comment about Yakov dealing with the loss of his son. They are indeed VERY important to us today.

Parsha “Ki Tetzi”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Sunday, August 26th, 2018

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship for this week’s teaching of “Ki Tetzi,” (Deuteronomy 21:10 through all of chapter 25), which AGAIN seems to literally exemplify so much of what is ABSOLUTELY WRONG with the western world today, especially because this is so politically INcorrect that it speaks volumes!

The Erev Shabbat overview starts with the concept of the “war bride,” and that’s just for starters…

For several weeks running now, the Sabbath Day teaching is arguably even more NOT ‘politically-correct’ than the week before. And this time, there needs to be an “adult content” warning as well, since the topics include marriage, sexuality, virginity, and a few things that will be even more offensive to a world which genuinely seems to HATE His Word, especially “as Written”.

From ‘transgenderism’ and ‘sodomy’ to the issue of multiple wives, there is plenty in Scripture that is so at odds with what men say He SHOULD have said if He was as smart as they think they are, it’s no wonder the world is such a mess.

The emphasis, however, MUST be on what is actually Written. What we have “heard it said” is NOT necessarily what He Wrote, for our blessing. So, be like the Bereans (Acts 17:11).

“Ki Tetzi: Fraud Covenant Marriage and Divorce, and the fact that all this is SO ‘NOT PC’ speaks volumes!”

Parsha “Re’eh”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Sunday, August 12th, 2018

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship for this week’s teaching of “Re’eh,” (Deuteronomy 11:25 through 16:17), which he initially begins by introducing as the parsha which is front and center when it comes to “Debunking Bogus ‘xtianity’ “.

And the Erev Shabbat overview of course begins there, where Moses begins by say, paraphrased a bit, “Hey, check it out!” or, “Behold!,” or just “See…”
…I set before you a blessing, and a curse…

So choose.

But, perhaps more importantly, THIS is THE parsha that really nails WHY the ‘whore church’ has been so deceived by paganism.

The Sabbath Day teaching will no doubt be one of the most “controversial” – even by Mark’s standard – in some time, because this parsha really DOES encapsulate so much of what the paganized, romanized, 501c(3) Caesar-licensed corporate ‘chuch’ of “another master” has come to preach: “another jesus, whom we have NOT preached…”

But the title lays out the premise.

“Re’eh: The Biggest Lie in the whole ‘Bible’ — well, sorta…”

“Ki Tisa” – teaching by Mark Call from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Sunday, February 28th, 2016

Parsha “Ki Tisa,” (Exodus 30:11 through 34:35) picks up the story of the Mishkan, and the Exodus, with one of the most important events in all of human history.

In the first recording, for Erev Shabbat, Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa teaches from the entire parsha, including the story of the ‘golden calf,’ and some of the key questions which surround it.

Ki Tisa 2016 26 February, 2016.

During the Sabbath Day teaching, Mark focuses on what for most of ‘the church’ will no doubt be a VERY uncomfortable comparison: How is today’s paganism so ‘superior’ to that incident that got so many killed then?

Shalach (Numbers 13-15)

Sunday, June 15th, 2014

Join Mark Call for two related, but different looks at this week’s Torah portion, Shalach, from Numbers chapters 13 through 15. From what is arguably histories “first recorded vote” (which says much about the consequences when man decides that “democracy can out-vote YHVH”) to tzitzit, there’s a lot to consider in this parsha.

The first recording is the regular Erev Shabbat teaching, from the Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship, and is again an overview of the entire parsha:
SSM – Shalach teaching

The longer teaching from Shabbat concentrates on some specifics from the parsha, in more detail, and with, as usual, topical references relevant to current events. In particular, this time, Mark takes a look at the two men who were “out-voted,” their leadership styles, and what they have to teach us as we face similar threats today.
