Parsha “Metzorah-Acharei Mot”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

This week is a “double-portion,” but NOT the one that is often paired as part of the standard Torah cycle.

Last week’s parsha began a look at a ‘plague’ or affliction — arguably spiritual in nature — that hasn’t been seen for many centuries. But the case was made that the ‘satanic imitation’ of it, in the form of a bioweapon that has also developed into a spiritual blight, certainly has.

This week, Mark has decided to ‘re-combine’ the double portion in a way that should help to outline a pattern that seems to be missed, but in different ways, between the two exiled houses

Parsha (“Metzorah,” Leviticus chapters 14 and 15), describes the cleansing process for the ‘metzorah’ – the one who HAS ‘tzaraat’ – in a way that certainly sounds familiar, but not quite identical, to other things we’ve heard before. The same thing seems to be true of what happens “after the death,” in the next portion, but with a different procedure. Still, that element of a larger pattern persists.

Erev Shabbat overview:

SSM “Metzorah-Acharei Mot” 2020

There are repeated patterns in Scripture that are easy to spot (well, often perhaps, after they’ve been pointed out, especially in the original language.) Others, not so much so. Those, we may “see through a glass darkly,” or even recognize as “variations on a theme” the way a great Composer might lay out a symphony.

Sometimes the best way to understand those more complex patterns might be to step back and just try to listen to the music.

Parsha “Tazria”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Join Mark Call for a thorougly-updated look at an ancient malady — arguably spiritual in nature — that hasn’t been seen for many centuries.

But the Big Lie ABOUT it, and similar things in the “Olde Testament” is just one of the Biggest Whoppers of all time.

Because the Modern Satanic Imitiation certainly IS here.

In this week’s parsha (“Tazria,” Leviticus chapters 12 through 13), the parsha begins with some more “politically incorrect” information, and instruction, because “male and female He created them,” is still true as well. And they are not interchangeable.

From there, the parsha touches on that “chastening plague” and how it manifested in people who managed to be “unclean” in the midst of a clean camp.

First, the Erev Shabbat “setup” leads to the key question: what about a whole world that is now beyond merely “unclean”?

During the Sabbath follow-on, Mark explores the fact that, so often, the Adversary of our souls seems to try to imitate (i.e., “you can be like god”) the things of Yahuah. From a worldwide, 5G-enabled, Artificially-Intelligent “internet of things” that ‘knows all, sees all, CONTROLS all, to a ‘disease’ that seems bio-engineered to chasten
a whole world into BEING unclean, there’s a pattern here, for “those with eyes to see.”

Pesach Sabbath teachings from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

This week the Sabbath falls during the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and thus after the Pesach meal. It is also, by the count based on the sighted new moon, perhaps no coincidence that the date alignment this year corresponds to the week during which the Messiah took ‘the cup’ on our behalf. And for the first time in centuries, this year, something very DIFFERENT has been “done away with.”

This is a season that was foretold literally throughout Scripture. This year, however, the pattern is particularly significant, and not only because of the alignment of the days of this week. The lesson has perhaps never been more vital.

Just as Yahushua HaMashiach warned, the Truth will offend many. So will this teaching. And the more deception has been poured into “itching ears,” the more vitriolic that offense will be. We see it in post-Biblical AmeriKa, from Snowflakes in Safe Spaces to Ishtar sun-god day services (see Ezekiel 8-9) that won’t be allowed this year.

The Erev Shabbat portion of the teaching takes a look first at the prophetic aspects of this season, both via the history — initial, repeated, and fulfilled — and the many warnings in Scripture.

The Sabbath Day pulls no punches.

If the most important event in human history being renamed after a pagan fertility goddess doesn’t offend you, neither should the destruction now playing out.

What has happened, is IS happening, on an international, literally truly SATANIC level, is an offense to YHVH. On that score His Word leaves no doubt.

Parsha “Tzav”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship for a two-part look at parsha Tzav (Leviticus/Vayikra chapters 6 through 8) which – AGAIN – has to do with something that not ONLY have we been told is all “done away with,” but is “BOOOOOORRing” besides.

Yes, we know that the “done away with” part is a Great Big Lie, but it’s really only boring if we try to pretend what were seeing happen now as a RESULT of that ignorance is.

The pattern emerges in the Erev Shabbat Overview:

SSM Tzav 2020

But this year, now that “TSHTF” is in our rear-view mirror, maybe some of the lies we’ve inherited from the ‘whore-church fathers’ are a bit more evident. And, no, Mark doesn’t start “pulling punches” now, because too many lives, and more, depend on our coming to a knowledge of the Truth.

And isn’t it an amazing “coincidence” (!) that this is also “Shabbat HaGadol,” the Sabbath before Pesach? And that much of what we are already seeing fits the pattern already layed out for us?

There are a lot of dots to connect now. And this teaching will no doubt offend some. Because it should.

What has happened, is IS happening, on an international, literally truly SATANIC level, is an offense to YHVH.

And those that have been told that the commandments of Yah, concerning “sacrifices” to Him, are “Boring,” and “done away with” should ponder just how closely the Fourth Reich Police State, based on the Covid-19 Pandemic Panic, look SO MUCH like the things that “Yahuah commanded Moshe…”

…except, it’s not Moses this time, and certainly not the God Who Wrote the Bible, that people are making those blood sacrifices to.

“Tzav: As Molech Commanded Bill Gates – so did he. What, are we missing something?”

Parsha “VAYIKRa”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship for a two-part look at the first parsha in the Book of the same name, Vayikra, (Leviticus, in the English) which – AGAIN – has to do with something right off the top that we have been told is all “done away with” anyway.

The problem is, that Great Big Lie helps cover up one of the biggest “twistings” at the heart of the “Whore Church”.

We see the pattern emerge in Erev Shabbat Overview:

SSM VAYIKRa 2020

But, what, AGAIN?

Why does the Torah spend so much ink on things we’ve been lied to about so often, and told are “done away with”? (Even IF, in this case, there IS no temple any more…)

What are we missing? Could it even possibly have to do with “twistings” surrounding the “Most Important Sacrifice in Human History?” And if we get THAT wrong, then what?

Double Parsha “Vayakhel – Pekudei”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship for a two-part look at the double parsha, “Vayakhel,” then “Pekudei” (Exodus ch 35 through the End of the Book) seems to mostly describe, in no small amount of detail, more aspects and elements associated with the contruction of the ‘mishkan’, or Tabernacle in the Wilderness. But it turns out that when the Creator of the Universe and Author of Scripture spends this much “ink” on a topic, there’s more here than we have probably heard in ‘sunday-skool,’ especially when we may well have been told it’s all “done away with” anyway…

SSM Vayakhel-Pekudei is the Erev Shabbat Overview.

Mark starts the Sabbath teaching off by addressing head-on one of the questions that may at least be in the “back of the mind” of many: What relevance TODAY, given pandemic panic and likely martial law, does a lot or clearly repetitive information about the construction of something we don’t even HAVE anymore have anyway?

At least part of that answer has to do with cycles, and why (to paraphrase Mark Twain) sometimes the cycles don’t so much as repeat, but ‘rhyme’. But what was vital that the people who had just made, and barely survived, the sin of the ‘golden calf’ DID is exactly what we’d better be able to understand today. That is, if we are “wise-hearted,” and understand why “faith without WORKS is dead.”

Parsha “Ki Tisa”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship for a two-part look at parsha, “Ki Tisa” (Exodus 30:11 – 34:35) which includes THE story that is among the most fundamental in the entire Bible to the understanding of “why we are where we are,” even if so much of religiosity prefers to deny the obvious.

There is much more in this “chock-full parsha,” however, as the Erev Shabbat overview makes clear:

SSM Ki Tisa 2020

The Bible is clear that a “stiff-necked people” wanted ‘many gods’, and the sin of the ‘golden calf’ grew from idolatry. But more problematic is how Aaron, the high priest himself, was not only drawn into the failure, but was allowed to continue in such a position of responsibility.

The questions posed tell us why that event is still relevant to people that are, millenia later, no less “stiff-necked”.

“Ki Tisa: Can a “stiff-necked peole” actually ‘self-govern’?”

Parsha “Tetzaveh”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship for a two-part look at parsha, “Tetzaveh” (Exodus 27:20 – 30:10) and not only more on the “splendor and beauty” of the priestly garments to be made for Aaron and his sons, but a bit of an incongruity as well. Are appearances REALLY all that important? Or is there more here than “meets the eye”?

SSM Tetzaveh 2020

And again, the question of “why?” Why this emphasis on clothing, or “outward appearance” when so much of Scripture focuses in the opposite direction? Why “seeing” rather than “hearing”?

Parsha “Terumah”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship for a two-part look at parsha, “Terumah” (Exodus 25:1 -27:19) and an apparently sudden “shift” from instruction about commandments and judgments following the giving of the Covenant at Mt. Sinai to some detailed contruction information about the ‘mishkan’, or tabernacle.

And certainly one of the first questions that might come to mind is “why?” Why now, why the level of detail, and why the emphasis on “terumah”, or freewill offerings, gifts, at this point in the story? Those are a few of the elements that make up the Erev Shabbat “overview”.

SSM Terumah 2020

The Sabbath day teaching suggests that one of the interesting aspects of this parsha, especially in the context of ‘current events’, is that it’s almost a “time out”.

Moses is up on the mountain, if we’ve read ahead, we already know what’s going to happen next (and so does Yah!) and there’s already a plan in place to begin the process of restoration. And He gives people the opportunity to learn to give, too.

What does learning to give – from things that were all from Him anyway! – have to do with dealing with tests we still have to face?

Parsha “Mishpatim”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

This week Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship examines parsha “Mishpatim,” (Exodus chapters 22 through 24) which follows the “Ten Commandments” in a way that too many who teach that the “law is done away with” would no doubt prefer to CONTINUE to ignore.

The Erev Shabbat overview points out why the name “mishpatim,” ordinances, or judgments, is apropos, (there are more of ’em in this parsha than any other) but the structure itself speaks volumes. If the ‘ten commandments’ outline our relationships, first to our Creator, then our fellow man, in order that we might know how to stay OUT of the bondage of Egypt, then here is an immediate, dramatic contrast!

SSM Mishpatim 2020

The Sabbath day teaching is about what happens when the “Law” really IS “done away with”. Not by the One True Creator, YHVH, of course, but men who not only don’t like what He Wrote, but hate Him.

There has perhaps never been a more clear demonstration of what “lawlessness abounds” means! And this portion outlines the framework: Destroy “law”, destroy marriage and family, and slavery – REAL Slavery! – follows.
