Parsha “Nitzavim”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa”

Sunday, September 9th, 2018

The message in the Torah portion for this week (Netzavim, Deuteronomy 29:9 through chapter 30) is simple, and timeless…
and profound…
…and UTTERLY at odds with much of the ‘doctrine of men’ taught for so long by the paganized whore ‘church’.

And that is why Mark Call suggests – again – that this perfectly clear and consistent summary of SO much of the entire Torah is also ignored.

We are indeed, as the Hebrew title reminds us, “standing” before Yahuah THIS DAY (‘HaYom’) just as our forefathers did, and have a choice to make. The fact that we have been lied to, for generations is still no excuse to fail to choose life!

This parsha, at “such a time as this” may be among the most timely reminders possible, as this Erev Shabbat summary makes clear.

But when it comes to a message that has become the very essence of “politically INcorrect” in a world which would have us fail to prefer life to the culture of death, or even to believe that we have a choice at all, Mark ‘pulls no punches’ (neither does Scripture!) in the follow-on Sabbath Day teaching, when it comes to what “free will” really means, and why those who ‘serve Him alone’ are under such vicious attack.

Yes, it’s “adult material” (for people ready for ‘meat’ as opposed to spoiled milk, if you prefer) — but it’s also about why we have been lied to about what He really says for SO long has never been more vital to know, and to “choose this day Whom you will serve”.

(The recording linked here contains an extended Q & A that followed the teaching, largely focused on current events in light of the concept of choice in a world which hates YHVH.)

“Nitzavim: Free Will, it’s NOT to hard for us to choose life, THIS day!”

Parsha “Naso”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Sunday, May 27th, 2018

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship for this week’s teaching of “Naso,” (Numbers 4:21 through chapter 7) and what is perhaps not only one of the longest weekly portions in the Torah, but one that tends to confuse a lot of people who are trying to “come out of her,” for quite a few reasons.

The Erev Shabbat overview lays out some of the reasons why that is, as Mark looks at the entire parsha in order. (And for those who have asked about why the Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship is NOT a 501c(3) Big-Brother blessed corporate creation, that is addressed briefly up front here as well!)

The Sabbath Day teaching this week focuses primarily on the two ‘central’ themes in this parsha, the process concerning the wife who MAY, or may not, be guilty of adultery, and the Nazerite vow…and how it is that while neither of them may still be practicable, both are still central to understanding what Yahushua DID, and did NOT, do, and how we have “inherited lies from our fathers” about most of it.

“Tzav”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Sunday, March 25th, 2018

Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa takes a look the second, in sequence now, of ‘those’ detailed, and therefore, often ignored (like so much of that “Olde” Testament…) portions of Scripture; Parsha “Tzav,” Leviticus/Vayikra chapters 6 through 8.) And this one is perhaps even more “NOT politically-correct” than the last one. Especially given the season!

It’s also again true that not only is there much more to this one “than meets the eye,” and in this case, it’s because Yahushua warned that what He REALLY taught we be ‘offensive’ to many…especially when they claim to be honoring Him.

Starting with the Erev Shabbat overview…

These teachings are available live each week via Paltalk, in the “Walking Torah with Shabbat Shalom Mesa” room (interactively, via www.paltalk.com) and also simulcast at

The Sabbath Day teaching this week continues from there and will no doubt be just as offensive to many. That’s OK; as Mark explains up front, not only are we to “speak His Truth boldly,” as we ought to, but to “sigh and cry” at the “abominations” that are being done…often ‘in His Name,’ even if they don’t really KNOW it.

The difference between His “Appointed Times,” starting with Pesach and the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and a pagan substitute, named for a fake “goddess”, is literally a matter of “life and death”.

“Vayakhel/Pekudei”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Sunday, March 11th, 2018

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa for a discussion of the two-part ‘Double Parsha’ that wraps up the Book of Exodus. “Vayakhel, then Pekudei,” Exodus chapter 34 through the end of the Book).

What does a wise heart have to do with what much of xtianity calls a really boring part of Scripture that’s been “done away with” anyway? The answer goes to the very heart of what is wrong with a ‘church’ that denies His Word, yet claims He dwell in hard hearts that have no place for Him.

The Erev Shabbat overview of what exactly it is that the last part of Exodus describes being made, and why, introduces some perhaps uncomfortable parallels.

SSM Vayakhel/Pekudei 2018

And the in-depth look at OPPOSITES on the Sabbath explores why that may be.

These teachings are available live each week via Paltalk, in the “Walking Torah with Shabbat Shalom Mesa” room (interactively, via www.paltalk.com) and also simulcast at

And in that respect, the Sabbath Day teaching this week is a literal OPPOSITE of the Erev Shabbat overview; sometimes, at the OPPOSITE part of the historical cycle, things are just plain inverted, or upside-down. And that describes the world today.

“Yitro”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Sunday, February 4th, 2018

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa another of those truly “pivotal” stories in all of human history, which begins with the arrival of Moses’ father-in-law, Yitro (not to be confused with Jethro Bodine) and includes the voice of YHVH from Mt. Sinai, and the giving of the “Ten Words/Sayings/Commandments” (Parsha “Yitro,” Exodus 18:1 through chapter 20)…
SOME of which, says the ‘church’ may still even apply today!

Warning: Adult content and language. Mark makes it clear that sometimes the truth must be blunt and unambiguous.  No punches pulled this week!

The Sabbath Day teaching this week again continues the in-depth exploration of those major ‘themes’ in the story of the Exodus, this time revolving around those “Ten Commandments” themselves, and what we can see has happened since the “law has been DONE AWAY WITH”.

“Yitro:   and WHAT do the parts of the ‘Ten Commandments’ that still apply today — if any! — in the Greater Babylon Metro Area teach us?”

Sabbath Day:

“Vayashev”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Sunday, December 10th, 2017

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa for a shift to a ‘new’ character, Yosef (Joseph) and his dreams, his enslavement, and his imprisonment. (Parsha “Vayashev,” (Genesis 37 through 40:23)

The Erev Shabbat overview teaching again covers the story itself, and how almost everything about this character signals that there is far more going on here than meets the eye.

SSM Vayashev 2017

That concept is expanded during the following Sabbath Day teaching.  In particular, there are not only so many elements of this parsha that are “politically-incorrect”, the lesson is a virtual tour of why just about everything this world values is either on fire, being revealed as a Big Lie, or literally headed to a Hell-on-Earth.

There is certainly a choice to be made.

“Vayashev:
Discern — Righteous Tamar or Potiphar’s adulterous wife; time to ‘Man UP!’ “

“Toldot”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Monday, November 20th, 2017

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa for a two-part examination into parsha “Toldot,” Genesis 25:19 to 28:9.

The Erev Shabbat overview teaching of the whole portion:

SSM Toldot 2017

The Sabbath Day teaching begins by asking the question that almost always comes up first: Is Scripture REALLY saying that the “ends justify the means?” Perhaps there’s a good reason Genesis 27 is called one of the most “difficult” in the Torah.

But the real message here is one that is very consistent with the totality of His Word. It’s about discernment, and how sometimes even those walking out his promises can be blinded, even while the promise is right in front of them.

“Toldot: Yakov vs Esau – or Discernment vs Blindness “

“Chayei Sarah”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Sunday, November 12th, 2017

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa for a final look at the story of Abraham, and his wife Sarah, but perhaps more importantly at perhaps THE pre-eminient parsha when it comes to ‘Legal Precedent’.    (Parsha “Chayei Sarah,”  Genesis 23:1 – 25:18)

The Erev Shabbat overview teaching is an examination of what it literally THE primary story that underlies major concepts of what was once understood to be the Common Law:
Contract, Agency – or ‘power of attorney,’ and Marriage.

SSM Chayei Sarah 2017

The Sabbath Day teaching connects all of that to the lessons of the “Torah Made Flesh,” Who came in His Father’s Name, to DO His Father’s will. How can we possibly know what it means for US each to seek to be a “good and faithful servant,” if we don’t understand the precedents He shows us?

“ChayeiSarah — Legal Precedent, and why it’s ALL about someday hearing,
‘Well done, good and faithful servant’ “

“Vayeira ”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Sunday, November 5th, 2017

Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa for a two-part look at parsha “Vayeira,” Genesis chapters 18 through 22.

The Erev Shabbat overview stretches from the story of the birth of Isaac and the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, through the Akeida, or binding of Isaac.

SSM “Vayeira” 2017

The Sabbath Day teaching continues the examination of Abraham’s demonstation of FAITH, from the perspective of what it really means for us to believe Yahuah as he did.

“Vayeira – ‘by faith Abraham‘ and how do we WALK in that during troubling times?”

“Sukkot ”– teaching from Shabbat Shalom Mesa

Sunday, October 8th, 2017

Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa looks at the Scriptures associated with the first Sabbath of the final Fall Feasts, Sukkot, or “Tabernacles”.

The Erev Shabbat overview teaching is a look at Leviticus 22:26 through 23:44, the description of the Feasts of YHVH, and why we are to keep them throughout our generations, in “all our dwelling places”.

SSM “Sukkot – First Day 2017”

And yet here we are now at the climax Fall Feasts – the first Sabbath of Sukkot, the Moedim of YHVH we have been told to remember and do, as best we can, here in exile – forever.

We see IN-credible Big Whoppin’ Lies being foisted – and revealed as such, to those with “eyes to see”. We see Evil literally running amok. And we see prophecies being fulfilled, perhaps NOT for the first time.

And we know that there is a real point to remembering His feasts, and doing our best to learn what He has for us.

Sukkot – What about THIS season? Now, and ahead!
